Bellingham schools changes how families are notified about lunch accounts

Bellingham Schools are changing how they notify families of students who have a negative balance in their lunch accounts.

Schools will no longer send letters to families, but will instead call, email and text through the district’s Skyward messaging system.

Messages will go out when a student’s account is a negative $3.01 or more.
