BELLINGHAM, Wash. – When it comes to loving animals, Washington is near the front of the pack.
A recent study by SafeWise rated states on enriching and safe environments for animals, no-kill shelters, anti-cruelty laws and more.
Washington comes in at number 10 because of its pet-friendly parks and low tolerance for animal abuse, but bans on pit bulls in some cities was a negative.
Maine proved to be the alpha ranking number 1 on the list.
