BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man accused of molesting a 13-year old boy he met as a mentor in the now-defunct Bellingham Big Brothers/ Big Sisters program has made a plea deal.
The Bellingham Herald reports that under the deal, 26-year old Ryan High will serve 60 days in jail, pay a fine, attend sex offender treatment and submit to various forms of monitoring for up to five year.
In a pre-sentence interview, the victim said that since the incident, his school grades have dropped because doing school work reminds him of High, who used to help him with his studies.
