BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Get ready to see a lot of shooting stars Wednesday night.

KING-5 reports the Geminid Meteor Shower is considered the best one of the year, but we normally can’t see it due to our usual rainy December weather.

We’ll luck out tonight as the weather is forecasted to be mostly clear and the crescent moon will limit light pollution.

The meteor shower produces up to 120 meteors per hour at its peak, between midnight Wednesday and just before dawn Thursday.
