BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The City of Bellingham wants you to know they’re ready if the roads get icy.
The National Weather Service says light snow is possible in the lowlands Friday and later this holiday weekend.
Public Works says they have the people, vehicles and de-icing materials to ensure police and fire crews can respond to emergencies, and maintain arterial streets for buses and vehicles with the proper tires.
The weather is expected to stay cool through the weekend, with snow levels likely below 500 feet.
