Bellingham Police are on the lookout for a juvenile runaway who may have passed counterfeit currency.
Lieutenant Don Almer says a boy who owed his mother money told her that he sold a vaping kit to another teen and gave her two one hundred dollar bills.
She tried to deposit them at her bank but was told they were counterfeit.
She reported it to officers who tried to locate the other boy but his parents told them he’s reported as a runaway.
Officers continue to investigate.
