WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – An ice storm is gripping north Whatcom County Friday evening.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Department’s Division of Emergency Management is warning against any travel on roadways north of Ferndale.
The slickest conditions are on roads in the swath between Lynden and Ferndale.
Trees are down across roads including lanes of I-5 in the Custer area.
Thousands are without power and many traffic signals are out in north Whatcom County.
