BELINGHAM, Wash. – The weather is forecasted to be a balmy 41 with some sunshine for tomorrow’s New Year’s Day “swim ops” in Whatcom County.
As of late Saturday, the Lake Padden Polar Dip was still on for New Year’s Day, as levels of blue green algae in the Lake have dropped.
The Dip follows the Resolution Run around the lake at 11am.
To the north, Birch Bay’s Annual Polar Bear Dip enters its 35th year, with registration at 10am and the swim at noon.
