BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A man is in the Whatcom County Jail, charged with attempted murder.
Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo said Brant Kirkwood and a woman went to the victim’s home on Alderwood Avenue at about 7:20 Saturday night.
Witnesses said they got in an argument and Kirkwood stabbed the victim in the leg, severing his femoral artery.
“He’s in the intensive care unit, he’s in very grave condition, but we hope for a recovery,” Elfo said.
Kirkwood is held on $1 million bail.
