Prep basketball final scores from Monday night…the Lynden Christian boys remained undefeated beating Sehome 75-54, Lynden got by defending 4A state champion Kentwood 48-43, Mount Baker defeated Squalicum 65-60 in overtime and Nooksack Valley beat Bellingham 65-59.

On the girls side Lynden defeated Sedro-Woolley 70-49, Nooksack Valley beat Bellingham 66-22 and Squalicum got by Mount Baker 45-38.

High school basketball scores from Monday night…on the boys side Lynden beat Anacortes 59-38, Bellingham got by Nooksack Valley 76-69 and Mount Baker beat Coupeville 81-59. In girls play Sehome beat Marysville 34-31, Nooksack Valley handled Bellingham 56-20, Lynden fell to Anacortes 45-25, Squalicum lost to Oak Harbor 48-40 and Mt. Baker defeated Coupeville 50-47.

There’s prep hoop action on the radio tonight on AM790 KGMI. The Squalicum boys visit Sehome with a 7:00 pre-game show and 7:15 tip-off.

High school football news…Mt. Baker running back Jed Schleimer and Meridian running back Nick Dritsas have been named co-Most Valuable Players in the Northwest Conference Class 1A football ranks. Voting was done by 1A coaches.
