MARYSVILLE, Wash. – A pedestrian had to be taken to the hospital after walking on an I-5 on ramp and getting hit.
The Washington State Patrol says Melvin Dye, age 55 of Seattle, was taken to Providence Medical Center after he was hit by a pickup that left the scene.
Dye had been walking in the traffic lane of the southbound I-5 on-ramp at Marysville, before sunrise.
Troopers say the driver has not been identified; unspecified charges are pending.
