BELLIGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham’s annual Blossomtime Parade is no more.
The Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce says the cancellation of the parade ahead of the Ski to Sea race on Memorial Day weekend is due to a lack of sponsor support and it has become increasingly difficult to attract parade entries.
“We hope that there is a community organization that would be willing to take over the parade,” said Chamber President Guy Occhiogrosso in a news release.
“It has been a community tradition since 1920 and we are excited to pass the legacy onto another organization.”
