WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Three people were hurt in a two car accident Tuesday night near Sumas, and troopers believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
The State Patrol reports Tre Cherochak of Everson was driving south on highway 9 when he crossed the center line and hit a car head on.
Cherochak was thrown from his car and landed in the field near the shoulder.
Sumas resident Bernetta Scully and her teen passenger in the other car were taken to PeaceHealth Saint Joseph Medical Center along with Cherochak.
