EVERETT, Wash. — While a Florida community mourns those killed and injured in the latest school shooting, neighbors call an Everett grandmother a hero after she called police Tuesday to report her grandson may have been plotting a shooting at his school.
Everett Police arrested the 18-year-old ACES High School student after his grandmother showed officers excerpts from the teen’s journal and told them he had a rifle hidden in a guitar case and inert grenades.
Police say officers were alarmed by the statements and detailed plans in the student’s journal.
He’s held on 5-million-dollars bail.
