BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The semi-finalists for the 2018 James Beard Awards are out and we have some local names on the list.
The awards honor the best of the best in restaurants, chefs, breweries and more across the nation.
A familiar name, Blaine Wetzel from The Willows on Lummi Island is among those vying for outstanding chef.
And in the category of outstanding wine, beer, or spirits professional, Dave Green of Skagit Valley Malting in Burlington is also a semi-finalist.
The awards are announced May 7th.
