BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Some of the protesters accused of blocking I-5 a year ago over the Dakota access pipeline have made their pleas.
Reese Semanko, Michelle Fry and Ciaran Seward each pleaded not guilty Friday in Whatcom County Superior Court to the various charges against them.
A trial for Michelle Fry is set for April 30th.
The remaining accused, Michael and Michelle Vendiola, Erasmus Baxter and Karly Storms will be arraigned at a later date.
Police say the I-5 blockage caused a rollover injury crash and a miles-long backup last February.
