BLAINE, Wash. – All Blaine schools were closed Friday after the district received a threat via email late Thursday night.
Bremerton schools are also closed after that district received the same threat which was specific to Friday, February 23rd.
KOMO reports that police have determined that the threat was actually aimed at a school in New Mexico and a suspect is in custody.
The Blaine and Bremerton districts say they decided to close schools out of an abundance of caution.
They expect school to be back in normal session on Monday.
