BELLINGHAM, Wash. –  Whatcom County residents woke up to a variety of winter weather conditions based upon their location Saturday morning.

Near sea level in Bellingham, a dusting of snow overnight left roads mostly wet, and slushy in places.

Other areas of Whatcom County, including Lynden, Sumas, Everson, and Maple Falls received from three to nine inches of snow.

Road conditions in north Whatcom County at 6am were snow packed or ice, depending upon the road.

The Lynden Senior Center cancelled their Saturday pancake breakfast due to the conditions. The Ferndale Seventh Day Adventist Church cancelled their Saturday service.

Numerous traffic accidents on Birch Bay-Lynden Road, Portal Drive in Ferndale, Main Street in Ferndale, and I-5 south of Bellingham were reported Saturday morning.
