OLYMPIA, Wash. — With the Capital Budget passed, several Whatcom County water projects can move forward.

The Department of Ecology is awarding $220-million in grants and loans for more than 200 clean-water projects across the state.

In Whatcom County, 13 projects and just over $15-million were approved.

The largest projects include bank stabilization and realignment of Pepin and Double Ditch Creek in Lynden and improvements to the Roeder Lift Station in Bellingham.
