PEBBLE BEACH, Wash. -A woman was found dead on Camano Island near a hillside bunker containing a cache of guns and ammunition and investigators believe it was homicide.
Detectives found her body Saturday afternoon on an undeveloped parcel of land on the south part of the island and say she appeared to have been dead for several days.
Investigators believe the woman was specifically targeted, but are not releasing much information.
Authorities are still working to confirm the victim’s identity as well as the cause of death, and are developing leads on a person of interest.
