BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A man on a longboard was severely injured early Sunday morning after a car hit him at the intersection of Alabama and Orleans Streets.
Lieutenant Don Almer says 31-year-old Michael Marshall was on the longboard rolling through the intersection just before 1am, against a red light and not in a crosswalk.
Police say an 18-year-old driver hit the Marshall as they drove through the intersection with a green light.
Marshall was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Almer says the driver showed no signs of being intoxicated and the agency is offering support services for the teen.
