BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Port of Bellingham Commissioners are ready to move ahead with the first residential buildings on the renovated waterfront.

The Bellingham Herald reports they voted 2-1 Tuesday to sell 1.7 acres to the developer.

Harcourt will build three residential buildings with 70 residential units on the property next to the Whatcom Waterway near the restored Granary Building.

The City of Bellingham will now review design and permitting for the project.
