BELINGHAM, Wash. – A foot chase on Sunset Drive eventually resulted in an arrest Sunday for a Whatcom County man.
Bellingham Neighborhood officer Eric Ostkerkamp says 19- year old Andre Siftsoff was wanted on suspicion for the forcible robbery of a cell phone from a pedestrian Saturday.
The Neighborhood Anti-Crime Team was patrolling East Sunset Drive at Orleans Street, and spotted Sistoff Sunday at 4:30.
Police say he took off running and they chased him on foot through heavy traffic.
They eventually caught up with him and arrested after he hid under a semi trailer.
