BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Police arrested two women at Bellis Fair Mall Tuesday night when loss prevention officers say they saw them putting merchandise in their bags.

Lieutenant Danette Beckley says police arrested Theresa and Tonya Jimmy as they left Kohl’s just after 8:30.

Loss prevention officers told police they saw the two women concealing items before going into the bathroom and spending an unusually long amount of time in there.

Beckley says the women denied taking anything when police confronted them as they left the store, but eventually turned over roughly $200 worth of stolen property.
