FERNDALE, Wash. – The Ferndale Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened early Sunday morning in the 6800 block of Portal Way.
The police responded to an AM PM station just before 3:00AM.
A hispanic appearing male entered the store with a baseball cap and a black and white bandanna over his face.
The suspect was wearing a red and black pull over and blue jeans.
The suspect confronted the clerk with the handgun, took cash from the register, then forced the clerk to assist moving the safe into the vehicle, which was parked by the gas pumps.
The clerk says he was assaulted by the suspect while they were outside the store.
The suspect’s vehicle is a white or silver, late-model Honda CRV.
A second suspect, who appeared to be an African American male, remained in the vehicle during the robbery.
The Ferndale Police Department is seeking any information regarding the case.
It is believed there was a female witness at the fuel pumps during the robbery.
