Prep basketball action Thursday night…the Ferndale boys beat Bellingham 60-54, Lynden Christian gets the win over Nooksack Valley 85-61.  On the girls side Burlington-Edison takes care of Lakewood 68-39.

In a comeback for the ages, Ruby VanderHaak’s basket with .3 seconds showing on the clock put the Lynden Lions girls up over Anacortes 59-58. The Lions never had the lead at during any of the 1st three quarters, but put up a 23 to 14 4th quarter to give them the lead.

VanderHaak lead the Lions with 17 points, while Gabby Ronngren led all players with 26.
