BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A man Bellingham Police arrested for indecent exposure has been ruled out as a suspect in the string of incidents near Western Washington University.

Officers responded to reports of a man without pants on in a parking garage in the 900 block of North Forest Street a little after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Lieutenant Don Almer says Daryl James Coates was wearing pants when officers arrived but they arrested him after talking to witnesses.

According to police Daryl Coates has been ruled out as a suspect in the WWU voyeurism incidents.

Detectives are still actively working any leads that they have concerning the WWU voyeurism incidents.

Coates also faces a drug charge after officers found him in possession of what they believe is methamphetamine.
