BURLINGTON, Wash. (AP) — A 16-year-old was fatally shot at a Burlington apartment complex and a 15-year-old boy was arrested soon after.

KOMO-TV reports that a second person of interest is being sought.

Officers responded to the Heritage Place Apartments about 11:25 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a possible shooting.

The 16-year-old was found with multiple bullet wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers arrested the 15-year-old suspect at his residence in Burlington. He was booked into the Skagit County Juvenile Detention Center for investigation of second-degree murder.

Detectives are still looking for the other person of interest in the shooting.

Burlington police say the shooting happened during a physical altercation between the people involved. The shooting is under investigation.
