SUMAS, Wash. – While the winner of Powerball’s $559 million jackpot is a single person in New Hampshire, someone right here in Whatcom County has a bit of a consolation prize waiting for them.
A ticket sold in Sumas matched five of the Powerball drawing numbers, winning that person one million dollars.
Washington’s Lottery says to check your ticket for the numbers 12, 29, 30, 33, and 61, because you have money to claim.
Meanwhile, someone in Bellingham also has one-million-dollars to claim in a drawing from December 9th and in Ferndale a person has $10,000 dollars waiting to be claimed from the Christmas drawing.
