FERNDALE, Wash. — Ferndale Police arrested a 58-year-old man they caught spray painting transit signs in the city.
WTA had reported a number of incidents of signs and schedules being vandalized at Ferndale bus stops over recent months.
A Ferndale spokesperson says police set up surveillance of a bus stop on Vista Drive Tuesday night.
Officers observed David Wurtz approach and spray paint a sign, then found other bus stop signs painted over in the area.
He had black spray paint on his hands and in his possession when they arrested him.
