BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A major road project on Maplewood Avenue in Bellingham will start causing delays Monday, and is expected to last for about six months.
The city said the work between Northwest and Alderwood avenues will make the road better and safer for walkers, runners, bicyclists and drivers.
It will start with lane and sidewalk closures, but there’ll be a two-week full road closure in mid-September.
The project includes art in the sidewalks.
