BELLINGHAM, Wash. – There’s a change in how you pay for parking in City of Bellingham spaces.
You no longer pay by stall number but rather by your license plate number.
Public Works superintendent Clark Williams says the popular phone app people have been using to pay for about a year uses license plate numbers.
He says all permitting, ticketing and enforcement is now based on license plate numbers.
There are signs and information on pay station screens explaining how to pay.
