OLYMPIA, Wash. — Over a quarter million Washington households receiving basic food benefits will see an increase in benefits for March and April.
The Department of Social and Health Services says recipients will get the difference between their regular monthly benefit and the maximum amount for their household size.
For example, a two person household who typically gets $200 per month would receive an additional $155 in emergency benefits for March and April.
Some households already receive the maximum benefit amount and will not see an increase.
The emergency benefits for March will show up on EBT cards April 4th.
