BELLINGHAM, Wash. – An overnight crash claimed the life of one person in Bellingham.
Washington State Trooper Rocky Oliphant said the accident occurred just before 11 p.m. Tuesday night on I-5 south near Iowa Street.
Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, but investigators have not disclosed exactly how many people were involved.
WSP says after the collision, a pedestrian got out of their car and was struck by another vehicle.
I-5 was fully blocked as crews cleared the scene and the road was reopened at around 2 a.m.
The identity of the person killed has not been released.
