BELLINGHAM, Wash. — An inmate at the Whatcom County Jail died Sunday from what officers are calling a suicide.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office reports “Billy Bad T” Lewing, also known as Daniel Donovan Lewing, apparently hung himself with a power cord from a medical device while seated on his bunk.
Medical aid immediately responded to the report from Lewing’s bunkmate, but their life-saving efforts were not successful.
Lewing has been housed as a Sexual Assault Felon in the Whatcom County Jail since July 10 and was awaiting trial on multiple charges, including two counts of child rape.
