OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington Attorney General’s office is launching a new online resource to provide a centralized hub of available services to victims of human trafficking ready and able to break free of their trafficker and rebuild their lives.
After the recent demise of Backpage.com and other online platforms that have been used for trafficking purposes, Ferguson anticipated an increase of trafficking survivors in search of resources available them.
Washington Trafficking Help includes information on where survivors can find short-term and long-term shelter, mentorship, education and employment services, law enforcement contacts, and more. It also has a calendar of events and groups that the public can join who want to help fight this scourge.
