OLYMPIA, Wash. — State Attorney General Bob Ferguson is suing the Trump Administration again, this time over what he calls Trump’s “gag rule” regarding reproductive services and family planning.
He says the rule affecting health care providers who receive Title X federal funding doesn’t allow them to refer a patient for an abortion and allows them to only provide information about carrying a pregnancy to term.
It also requires Title X providers to establish a physical wall between abortion and other health services.
Ferguson’s suit says the rule will force many providers out of the program and prevent thousands of mostly poor women in Washington from receiving other vital health care services.
