OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Attorney General’s Office filed attempted murder charges in Clallam County against an inmate accused of attacking a corrections officer, leaving him with a traumatic brain injury.
Court documents say Abdinjib Ibraham attacked Corrections Officer Terry Breedlove from behind with a six-pound metal stool seat in 2016 and repeatedly hit him in the head until he was unconscious.
Breedlove continues to suffer memory loss, headaches, blurred vision and impaired balance.
Ibraham, who is in prison from a prior conviction, is set to be released in 2021, but could face life in prison if convicted of these new charges.
