SEATTLE, Wash. — Alaska Airlines will offer daily nonstop flights between Columbus, Ohio and Seattle starting in March.

John Glenn Columbus International Airport says it was a “top priority” to secure direct flights to Seattle.

Columbus is among the 20 cities fighting to be the location of Amazon’s second headquarters.

Columbus and Pittsburgh were the only two cities on Amazon’s shortlist without direct flights to Seattle.

Alaska Airlines will begin nonstop service between Seattle and Pittsburgh next month.
