BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Alaska ferry is stuck in Bellingham for the time being after possible COVID-19 exposure.

The Alaska Marine Highway System reports five passengers who rode the ferry from Kake, Alaska to Juneau on August 10 have tested positive for COVID-19 and they may have been infectious while on board.

This past Friday, the vessel arrived in Bellingham where it will remain docked until at least August 20 while crew members get tested for the disease.

Passengers who recently traveled on that route should monitor themselves for symptoms and consider getting tested as well.
