BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Almost two years after closing its grocery store in the Birchwood neighborhood, Albertsons has sold the property at Birchwood Avenue and Northwest.
The Bellingham Herald reports California-based developer Oakdale bought the property for $2 million.
Oakdale hasn’t said what it intends to do with the store, but Albertsons has had a non-compete clause on the property preventing another grocery store from opening there.
