BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Amtrak trains that haven’t been seen in awhile will soon return to tracks in Bellingham and Whatcom County.

Amtrak Cascades crews will start to make pre-qualification runs ahead of a resumption of service between Seattle and Vancouver later this spring.

Amtrak says in a Facebook post that they don’t yet have an exact date on when the service will return.

The route with stops in Bellingham was shutdown at the on-set of the pandemic and border closure in March 2020.
