ANACORTES, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Transportation wants public feedback on proposed changes to the price of ferry tickets.
Washington State Ferries is hosting a series of community meetings throughout the state to discuss the potential fare changes, as well as their 2040 Long Range Plan.
The 2040 Long Range Plan, submitted to state government last January, calls for an upgrade for the Anacortes ferry terminal and more service hours on the Coupeville-Port Townsend ferry route.
The agency will hold nine meetings around the sound in May, including one in Coupeville on May 1 and Anacortes on May 14.
