ANACORTES, Wash. — More details have been released on the sunken pier in Anacortes in the wake of this week’s wind storm.
The Coast Guard says three vessels were moored to the 300-foot by 50-foot pier when it went down.
The tug boat “Hellen S” was untangled from the wreckage and re-moored safely.
Another tug had be used to move the decommissioned Coast Guard cutter Acushnet to safety.
And the third vessel was the 100-footer “Chilkat,” which sank after being torn from its mooring.
No pollution or damage to the nearby Lovric Sea-Craft marina was reported.
