ANACORTES, Wash. – Several hundred protesters lined the sidewalks in Anacortes this weekend.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports this was the second weekend in a row that the protesters spoke out against racism, police brutality, and the killing of George Floyd.
At least 200 people filled about two city blocks Saturday for the peaceful protest, which was one of a number of similar rallies held throughout the nation.
Last weekend’s demonstration in Anacortes ended in a car hitting a protester in the street, but this weekend was much more calm.
