ANACORTES, Wash. — Thousands of motorcyclists will be flocking to the area this weekend for the largest motorcycle event in the Pacific Northwest.
The 38th annual Oyster Run takes place on Sunday September 22nd in Anacortes, and participants are encouraged to come early and enjoy the area all weekend.
It’s a free event with no official starting point, no time schedule, and no required route.
The only goal is to end up in downtown Anacortes by Sunday.
You can expect plenty of motorcycles on the roadways throughout the region and the DOT says they may even cause loading delays as they board Washington State Ferries en masse.
Expect lots of 🏍️🏍️ & possible loading delays through the weekend on #Mukilteo/#Clinton, #PortTownsend/#Coupeville & #Anacortes/#SanJuanIslands routes for Annual #OysterRun on Sun. 9/22. Reservations strongly encouraged for our reservation routes ⛴️👉https://t.co/3wWPo3RpmM pic.twitter.com/e0hC5te27Y
