PORTLAND, Oregon – Fred Meyer stores has announced they will stop selling guns and ammunition.
The chain said in a statement Friday it made the decision after evaluating customer preferences, as demand for guns and ammo in its stores has declined.
The company didn’t give a timeline.
Fred Meyer is a subsidiary of Cincinnati- based Kroger Company, with two stores in Bellingham.
