BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The weather is expected to get messy, in both the lowlands and the mountains.
The latest Winter Storm Warning covers the Cascade mountains and valleys of Whatcom and Skagit County, while the National Weather Service also has a High Wind Warning in effect on the west side.
Nearly two feet of snow is forecasted to drop in the mountains from Monday through Tuesday evening.
With gusty winds joining the fray, travel could be very difficult to impossible due to slick roads and low visibility.
Meanwhile, folks near the water can expect another bout of strong winds, with higher gusts beginning around 4 PM.
South winds are forecasted to increase throughout the day, gusting up to 60 MPH in places, so be ready for downed trees and power outages.
