The Washington State Cougars upset of the USC Trojans Friday paid big dividends for Wazzu, but not so much for the Washington Huskies. Wazzu is 11th in the Associated Press college football poll released Sunday. The Dawgs are still sitting at No. 6.
Washington State’s 30-27, last second win over USC moved the Cougars up 5 spots in the poll and dropped the Trojans from No. 5 to No. 14. Expectations were that the Huskies would move into the top-5 after thrashing Oregon State 42-7 in Corvallis Saturday. Instead, Georgia turned a 41-0 win over Tennessee into a two spot jump from No. 7 to No. 5.
Utah is the only other Pac-12 Team in the Top-25. The 4-0 Utes are 20th after a bye this past weekend.
