BELLINGHAM, Wash. — For those interested in preventing homelessness in Whatcom County, the local government is offering a chance to get involved.
Whatcom County now has one vacancy on the Homeless Strategies Workgroup for a Homeless Advocate member.
The group, which includes members from county council as well as the Bellingham and Ferndale mayors, meets every other Friday for the next several months to identify temporary winter shelters.
They also identify ways to prevent homelessness.
Applications are available in the Whatcom County Council Office, and can also be filled out and submitted online by going here.
